THE SHELTER IN THE WOODS
In a still unexploited area of the south west part of Lefkada and in a clearing with pine trees and olive trees around, the shelter inthe woods poses as the ideal hideaway for two people. With a breathtaking view of the Ionian sea, the shelter is a modern two-floor construction with guaranteed privacy.

The shelter sleeps two and measures approx.. 50 sq. m. in two levels. The ground floor contains a fully equipped 25 sq. m.open air kitchen , while the top floor is transformed into a cozy 25 sq. m bedroom with en suite bathroom.

The shelter stands above Egremni beach and on a clear day one can see from there the island of Kefallonia.

The shelter is located 35 km from the town of Lefkada, 12 km from the port of Vassiliki and only 2 km away from the village of Athani where you can find mini markets, tavernas and cafeterias.

The island of Lefkada, is on the west coast of Greece, one of the seven Ionian islands rich in history and age-old tradition, Here, it is believed that Homer set the “Odyssey” and it was there the the poetess Sappho had her unfortunate love affair with Phaon, ending with her leap from one of the island’s white cliffs where the temple of Apollo stood, and where nature can be seen in all its beauty. It is unique amongst the other islands because it is separated from mainland of Greece by a 25m channel with movable swing bridge that carries a road,thus easily connected with the main road nets to the airport (18km), Preveza (21km), other major cities and Athens (360 km).

Lefkas town
With its unique architecture found everywhere in the main Doerpfeld street and the side streets. There is a very interesting collection to be found in the archaeological museum, as well as a post-byzantine art gallery in the building of the public library. There are wonderful old churches including: AghiosSpiridonas, AghiosNikolaos, Pantokratoras, Aghios Minas etc. with unique pieces of woodcarving and icons.

Αthani and the south west coast
The south west coast of Lefkada is famous for its beaches :Gialos , Egremni and Porto Katsiki can be reached within 10, 5 and 15 minutes by car from the shelter.
The wondrous Lefkatascape ,where poetess Sappho ended her life, is also nearby.
Finally, the port of Vassiliki is a 20 minute drive from Athani. In Vassiliki you can find tavernas, super markets, bars, gift shops and cafeterias.
